Upcycle a Thrifted Lampshade

A bit of paint is all it takes to transform a plain lampshade!

We were inspired by vintage Larousse insect illustrations, but birds, flowers, or leaves would look fabulous as well:

Since the lampshade we were working with was made of fabric, we used fabric paint, but you can use a wide range of paints on paper lampshades as well.

Depending on how you like to work, you could use pencil to outline your designs, or you can work freehand (which is more our style)
